Who Are We?
TPHS Science Olympiad is a student-and-parent run club that welcomes bright and high-achieving individuals that may be interested in pursuing a STEM related career in the future. During the school year, students learn about different topics that would otherwise be unavailable to them in school, helping build teamwork skills, lifelong friendships, and knowledge and experience in a wide variety of subjects. With over 20 events to choose from, including study, lab-testing, and building events, there will definitely be topics that pique your interest and help you discover if a career in STEM might be perfect for you!
Study
Students will review high-level material for a variety of subjects. Examples include Anatomy, Forestry, and Microbe Mission. There will be lots of memorization and information to be retained.
Lab & Build
Most events include a test as well as a lab portion. Events include Towers, Scrambler, and Detector Building.
